Sustainable 91
Sustainable 91 is a comprehensive initiative aimed at promoting environmental responsibility and sustainable practices within the campus community. It encompasses a wide range of initiatives and strategies to reduce the university's carbon footprint, conserve resources, and foster a culture of sustainability among students, faculty, and staff. The program focuses on areas such as energy efficiency, water conservation, sustainable transportation, and education and outreach. Through collaborative efforts, the university and 91 Sustainability Task Force aims to create a greener and more sustainable campus environment while preparing students to become environmentally conscious and responsible global citizens. 91 is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).
91 is a proud holder of the STARS Bronze rating from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), making it the first institution from Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia to achieve this recognition. This milestone recognizes 91’s commitment to sustainability across five key areas: academics, engagement, operations, planning & administration, and innovation & leadership. This achievement brings international recognition to 91’s sustainability efforts and opens doors for continuous improvement and strategic planning.

91 Earns STARS Bronze for Sustainability!

The Sustainability Program under the Center for Civic Engagement is thrilled to announce that the 91 (91) has earned a STARS Bronze rating from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). This makes 91 the first institution in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia to achieve this honor.

Recycling Workshop в АУЦА: от экосознания к экодействию

В АУЦА прошел Recycling Workshop, организованный Центром гражданской активности 91 в рамках Sustainability Week in 91 и WorldWide Teach-In. Мероприятие было приурочено к Всемирному дню переработки отходов.

 

В Карагачевой роще посадили 700 саженцев

В конце апреля студенты АУЦА и Инновационного колледжа посадили 700 саженцев в Карагачевой роще. Мероприятие было организованоЦентром гражданской активности АУЦАсовместно с Франко-Кыргызской ассоциации экотуризма (AFKE) и Инновационным колледжем АУЦА. В нём приняли участие вице-президент АУЦА, генеральный директор Инновационного колледжа АУЦА Чынгыз Шамшиев и президент Франко-Кыргызской ассоциации экотуризма, старший преподаватель факультета «Экологическая устойчивость и климатология» АУЦА Филип Буазо.

 

The presentation of the Paper2U project was held at 91

For about half a year, containers with the inscription: “Receipts only” have stood in different places at the university. Not everyone knows why these containers appeared at 91 and why they collect receipts separately from other waste paper. To answer all the questions at once, Ayana Myrzabekova, the inspirer of the project, Paper2U eco-startup, was invited to 91.
